Welcome to the Vincentian Sisters of Charity Web Site!

As Vincentian Sisters of Charity are nearing a century of our founding here in Pittsburgh, we remain in awe of the faith of our "pioneer" Sisters. In 1902, these five Sisters placed their lives in the hands of a loving God as they accepted the call to leave Austria-Hungary and travel to Braddock, Pennsylvania. Their mission?...to be a presence of compassionate care to the immigrants of that time.

Today, we Vincentian Sisters of Charity continue to follow their example by providing a variety of services to persons of all ages. As members of the extended family of St. Vincent de Paul, which includes the Sisters and Daughters of Charity, Vincentian Fathers, Ladies of Charity, and the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, we share Vincent's vision of "carrying His divine fire, the fire of love," everywhere.

Thank you for visiting our Web Site. We hope you find the information you seek. We pray God will bless you and your intentions.
