Associate Membership

Promoting the charism of St. Vincent de Paul through support and dedication to the mission and ministry of the Vincentian Sisters...

Men and women 21 years of age or older, who wish to embrace the charism of St. Vincent de Paul are invited to Associate Membership. Associate members do not seek vowed commitment but choose to share in the spiritual and personal formation of our community members, to collaborate with us on various professional and interpersonal levels, and assist us in spreading the Gospel message through works of Charity.

Entrance into the Associate Program requires a preliminary interview and a referral process by a Vincentian Sister of Charity. This is followed by a period of formative education under the Director of Associate Members. This initial period introduces you to the spiritual heritage of our Congregation, its traditions and mission. Your approval by the Congregation is formalized during a public ceremony of acceptance.

As an associate member you maintain financial and residential independence.

Our associate members enjoy a unique opportunity to benefit from the resources of the Congregation for spiritual development. These include: opportunities for personal and communal prayer, faith sharing, libraries of spiritual and theological materials, liturgies, days of prayer, reflection on Sacred Scripture, select programs on contemporary theological and social issues, and time for introspection and personal development.

For more information, please contact: Director, Associate Members, 8200 McKnight Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237. Phone: (412) 364-3000.
