A Typical Day

Free Play
Children may choose to use puzzles, blocks to build, trucks, play dough, painting, housekeeping, coloring and drawing, or individual games with teacher.

Circle Time
This is a time for interaction between teacher and child. It involves instructions for the day, roll call, saluting the flag, calendar and weather, listening to comments of the children concerning their feelings and experiences they wish to share, readiness in alphabets and numbers.

Group Work Session
Students listen to the instructions for the projects scheduled. Socialization and conversation is held during this time concerning their art projects, work sheets, etc. This time is very flexible for the children. Much praise and positive reinforcement, or direction if needed, are given to the child. Individual attention is given. Teachers are assigned to tables.

Music
Children are encouraged to listen to music, play singing games, keep time to music, use simple rhythmic instruments. Creative body movements and singing abilities are developed.

Arts & Crafts
Art is a very important part of a child's experience. Children are encouraged to use crayons, magic markers, paste, glue, paints, scissors, and recycled articles. They are taught to explore the world via activities that stress muscular control and hand-eye coordination.
